Organizational responsibilities
  1. Planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation of preventing and investigating crimes, preventing organized and economic crimes, judicial police, and communications supervision.
     
  2. Planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation of criminal forensic tasks, inspection and identification of evidence in criminal cases, collection, documentation, use of fingerprints, DNA, and support for major and special criminal case investigations.
     
  3. Records of criminal cases, collection, processing, analysis, application of criminal information, and planning, supervision and assessment, and technological research for the related tasks.
     
  4. The planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation of the international criminal operations in liaison, cooperation, and investigation of transnational crime cases, and operations of police liaison officers in foreign countries.
     
  5. Formulation, planning, procurement and maintenance of equipment and technology for criminal science and technology, research and development for information and support, investigation and crime detection, forensics, and explosion protection.
     
  6. The liaison and coordination of policing tasks in the Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau, and cross-border cooperation in criminal cases.
     
  7. Planning and implementation of criminal task supervision, education and training, and discipline.
     
  8. The consultation, deployment, collection, communication, utilization of public security intelligence, notification, control, command, coordination, and contact with criminal cases and public security conditions.
     
  9. Investigation, cracking down, support tasks in major, violent, special criminal cases, gun and drug crimes, organized crimes, information and communications science and technology crimes, economic crimes, violations of communications laws and related criminal cases, and other communication cases etc. The planning, implementation, supervision, assessment of explosion-prevention tasks, and support and handling of explosives and explosions.
     
  10. Other planning and implementation matters related to criminal police operations.
