When an Internet games company illegally freezes a player’s account to cause damage to the player’s equity, can the player report the case and file for a case investigation?  (The Criminal Investigation Bureau)
As the agreement of a games company and the player’s standardized contract stipulates that all virtual treasures belong to the Internet games company, thus the games company holds the mediation decision right on the treasures between games, and if a player reckons that his/her equity has been compromised, and since the case falls under a civil rights infringement issue between the games company and the consumer, it applies to relevant stipulations provided by the Consumer Protection Act, rather than a criminal case; also in addressing a player who suffers equitable damage as a result of virus infecting said company’s Web page, the consumer may file a complaint with Consumer Protection Commission, Executive Yuan, or seek grievance by calling the consumer service center hotline at 1950 across all counties and cities.
